The Ark

The Ark – Two decades back… actually in 2001, my first few days in 3DS MAX resulted in my first Short: The Silver Ark. It started with just learning a new software without youtube at that time. It was pretty intuitive. I started mish-mashing a few sphere objects, some basic texturing and landed a few shots ready to render. My trusty 64MB ram Compaq Presario was busy three or four nights in a row rendering a couple of shots.

A rudimentary project along with my first ever forays into sound design. I have been meaning to revisit the short for so many years. Finally got a stab at it. Although its all shiny and GI goodness re-imagining, I still wish I had the original files saved. So that I could re-create the exact shots in a better resolution. Anyways, a fun ride!
